I envy your ability to photograph birds. As a child, I always watched them at my grandparent's house, where I lived. Hummingbirds are by far my favorite bird, and I'm truly considering getting a hummingbird feeder so I can get some new lenses for my camera, so I can try and snap photos of them. I adore those birds. I don't know if in Canada you get Painted Buntings, but aside from hummingbirds, those are my favorite birds.

And yes! Put the Vulcan Barber picture up :D Alot of people might be too stupid to get it but it's great :D

Well, I do, but I am old enough to understand that isn't REASONABLE. :P

I don't think Painted Buntings come this far north. We do have hummingbirds in the yard (the ruby-throated kind) but I have not tried to take pictures of them yet. We have feeders for them but they're still in the package in the house. They are very territorial and will apparently even intimidate bigger birds, so I need to think of a place where I can take photos but they won't chase away the sparrows and goldfinches. ;)

I'm not terribly good at drawing like you are, so I always feel weird putting things like that Vulcan Barber pic on a site with far superior artists. It's intimidating! By the way I noticed in your gallery you mention you have other pics in other places... because they are less, umm, dA friendly. Where else do you share?

I am slow haah. Anyway! Ruby-throated hummingbirds are absolutely adorable. I need to get a feeder for them, and a regular bird feeder, but that's not the highest on our priority list of things we need. Y'know? :P
